Data and Compliance Policy
Saleit Leader is designed to support responsible B2B research, business contact discovery and data organisation. This policy sets minimum standards for using our software and services and is not legal advice.
1. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for determining whether your use of Saleit Leader and any data you collect, process, store, export or use is lawful.
This includes determining the appropriate legal basis for processing personal data, providing required privacy notices, respecting data-subject rights, maintaining suppression lists and honouring opt-out requests.
SALEIT SOFTWARE does not determine whether a particular marketing activity, contact strategy or use of data is lawful for your specific situation.
2. Marketing Communications
Before sending marketing or other outreach communications, you must assess the laws and regulations applicable to the recipient, the communication channel and your intended activity.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include data protection laws, the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, PECR, anti-spam laws, electronic communications regulations and other local requirements.
You must not assume that a business email address is automatically permitted to receive marketing communications.
Where consent is required, you must obtain valid consent before sending communications. Where you rely on another lawful basis, such as legitimate interests where legally permitted, you are responsible for conducting and documenting the appropriate assessment and meeting all applicable requirements.
Marketing communications should include an appropriate and effective method for recipients to opt out where required by applicable law.
3. Prohibited Use
You must not use Saleit Leader or related services to:
- send or facilitate unlawful spam or unsolicited communications;
- target children or minors inappropriately;
- process sensitive or special-category personal data without an appropriate legal basis and safeguards;
- collect or process personal data for unlawful purposes;
- access data sources in breach of applicable terms, restrictions or contractual obligations;
- bypass technical controls, access restrictions or security measures;
- distribute malware, malicious code or other harmful content;
- deceive, defraud, impersonate, threaten or harass individuals;
- infringe privacy, intellectual-property, data-protection or other third-party rights;
- use the service in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
4. Data Minimisation
You should collect and process only the data that is reasonably necessary for a specific, defined and lawful purpose.
You should avoid unnecessary exports, excessive data collection and indefinite retention of information that is no longer required.
You are responsible for reviewing the data you collect and determining appropriate retention periods based on your legal obligations and business purposes.
5. Data Security
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect data processed through your use of Saleit Leader.
This may include limiting access to authorised users, protecting account credentials, using appropriate security measures and preventing unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse of exported data.
You should not share account credentials or provide unauthorised third parties with access to your account or data.
6. Verification Results and Technical Signals
Email verification, technical checks and other results provided by Saleit Leader are technical signals and should not be treated as proof of:
- the identity of an individual;
- the accuracy of information;
- the existence of consent;
- the existence of a lawful basis for processing;
- the legal permission to contact a recipient;
- guaranteed email deliverability.
You are responsible for independently assessing whether your intended use of any data or contact information is lawful and appropriate.
7. Respect for Third-Party Systems and Sources
You must respect the terms, access restrictions, technical controls and applicable policies of third-party websites, platforms, data sources and services.
You must not use Saleit Leader to bypass authentication, security measures, access restrictions or other technical controls.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party data sources does not violate applicable law or contractual restrictions.
8. Data Subject Requests and Opt-Outs
If you use data obtained through Saleit Leader for marketing or other communications, you are responsible for appropriately handling requests from individuals, including requests to opt out, object to processing, access personal data or exercise other applicable rights.
You should maintain appropriate suppression or exclusion records where necessary to ensure that individuals who have opted out are not contacted again in violation of applicable law.
9. Compliance with Applicable Laws
Your use of Saleit Leader must comply with all laws and regulations applicable to your activities, location, industry, recipients and communication methods.
These requirements may vary between countries and jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to obtain independent legal advice where necessary.
10. Monitoring and Enforcement
We may investigate suspected misuse of our products or services where reasonably necessary to protect our systems, users, third parties or legal rights.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe that your use:
- violates this Data and Compliance Policy;
- violates our Terms and Conditions;
- violates applicable law or regulations;
- infringes the rights of others;
- creates a security, operational or legal risk.
11. Relationship with Other Policies
